Glasgow Canal Project

The Glasgow Canal Project is a co-operative of large and small organisations all based around the banks of the canal in North Glasgow, whose collective aim is to celebrate and invest in this beautiful, diverse and often under-appreciated part of the city. Member organisations include the National Theatre of Scotland, Scottish Canals, Hamiltonhill Claypits, Pinkston Watersports and Scottish Opera. The area is an emerging destination, home to grass-roots and national cultural organisations, cutting-edge sports activities and Scotland’s first urban nature reserve. The Glasgow Canal Project aims to work closely with local communities unlock the potential of the canal to create a vibrant neighbourhood for people to live, work and visit.
